Hey everybody,
Due to popular demand, I’ve created this ’secret link’ for you guys and gals. This is your zone – write away! I’ll try and come in and answer questions from time to time, but this is about mutual moral support.
Together, I know you can see amazing fat loss results!
Here’s to you, my friends,
Kareem
P.S. I’ll be creating a new Conversation Board page each month, so that it will be more categorized by workouts, etc. for you.

Hi Dr. K,
Thanks for putting this together for us. This is GREAT. I’m sure we’ll all enojoy this.
Now let’s get burning!!
What an excellent solution! This is a great way to keep each other encouraged. My wife and I have continued faithfully with the program and are looking forward to the new content next month.
Okay, I’m still practicing to stay on that exercise ball longer – I have a feeling that will be my project for February! *Smile*
I look forward to hearing comments from other PVBCers.
Oh and Vicki – Fantastic job with the program. It was great to hear you get that recognition in the email.
Oh and thanks doc, this will be a great place to keep track of stuff just for us. We’re just spoiled. (LOL) Have a great day!
Andrew
so I just did the t-band arm thingy for 10 min, then while the good ol ticker was still up, I did 4 rounds of 20 sec. fast feet. I am sweating like a pig now. Off to the shower. Burning going on here.
Great job, Christi.
My wife and I are set to do Video B today. Energy wise I’m running lower – though our daughter has been sick with the flu for a week and the up all night aspect is really starting to take it’s toll.
Take care! Looking forward to the next set of videos coming soon.
I’m glad you both are doing B today, i’m pretty wiped also and may only do some tabata, something is better than nothing; Especially since we are suppose to go to the neighbors for Super bowl party. I’m bringing my black bean corn salsa. I’ll just stand by that.
I hope your daughter feels better soon. My son had a weird rash over his whole body all week also. Viral i’m pretty sure. Take care. I can’t wait for the new videos also.
Sorry to hear about your son. My daughter had the same thing only a few weeks ago and it ended up being viral and was just a pain for her. Usually she is very healthy, but this year has been a hard one – she’s picking up everything.
I went to the Super Bowl party and ended up not eating one dessert. I stuck to the veggie platter and some protein and didn’t feel bad. I knew I could have had some, but nothing really tempted me.
Well, another video tonight. Looking forward to seeing what the new videos will unveil. I know they are coming soon. Oh the anticipation! Have a great evening all.
Well I actually did even end up going to the super bowl party. So i had no tempatations. Finally…
I’ve started to add more veggies. green beans and mushrooms. Not much else going on. had more energy today and got a good workout in and then 5 rounds of 30 sec fast feet this morning. Off to the detox bath now. I’ll swim tomorrow while my son takes his lesson. I get a good solid 20 min of laps in.
Take care and keep up the work. Patiently waiting the new videos.
Hmmm… I feel a bit out of place here, but for anyone out there who finds this all a bit of a struggle, maybe you’ll identify with me. I am 49 and need to lose about 30kg (sorry, I’m Australian, no idea of pounds). When I first started this, I couldn’t even manage the warmup without collapsing! So I went back to basics, did some walking and cycling to build at least a baseline fitness level. I began taking some of Dr K’s eating advice and have lost 3kg. I am going to be behind, as I have only just plucked up enough courage to go back to the workouts. I can still only manage the warmup and one set, but I push to exhaustion so will undoubtably get better. This really is a program anyone of any level can follow… I can only improve!!!
So if there is anyone else who is starting from the back foot? Keep trying, we will get there!!!
Fantastic! That’s 6lbs! I think the most amazing thing is that you kept it up and you stuck with it! You should be really proud of yourself! I know this community is proud of you – and super thrilled to have you jump into the discussion. Your encouragement and example are something that will really motivate others – I know I was so happy that you posted.
It takes a lot of courage on so many levels. Australian, huh? What a world wide community! That said, I can’t help but be the smallest big jealous of the warm temps you guys are having there. On the way into work it was -7. (Sigh!)
From experience, you will improve each and every workout! I look forward to hearing from you again.
Christi, did you get the feedback you were looking for with your diet choices?
On a sad note, a close friend of mine was rushed to the hospital. The bottom line, he has a tumor that has closed off his colon and they found a spot on his liver. He is starting chemo. He’s just shy of 50.
It just makes me realize how quickly things can change and how important it is to get yourself checked out by the doctor. Also, it helps you live life with gusto – you never know when things can happen.
Well, didn’t mean to bring the mood down, but it’s been a hard week. Thanks for posting and bringing some sunshine into my week.
Hello everyone,
I see I’m not the only one who hasn’t been posting in awhile. I’ve been busy at work all weekend and pretty much wiped out yesterday. Those 14 1/2 hour days are exhausting. (the time I get up until the time I get home). I hope everyone is keeping up with the routines. I am anxiously waiting the new videos. Take care everyone and keep on burning the fat.
Okay, new videos are up! Yeah! We dove into Karreem’s video last night. Okay, we were seriously tired. Plus I have the battle scars to prove I worked hard. Both my elbows were bleeding by the time I was done with the up and down planks. Ouch! I just kept digging deep.
Beyond that it went well – we’ll jump to BJs exercise video next. The only thing we’re having a harder time doing is finding a substitute for a pole – we just don’t have anything like that here. So we did are workout without as suggested.
New videos, new cardio! Yeah. We were hitting the time where we needed to freshen it up and these came right on target.
Hope everyone is doing well! Oh, Jan – I’ve been hearing about the wildfires in Austrailia – how horrible. Hope you and yours are safe.
Thanks Andrew. Just about everyone has family or friends who have been affected in some way, but fortunately all ours are alive and well. Some houses and livestock gone, but when put in perspective, they are the lucky ones.
My heart also goes out to your friend. But treatment today is so advanced. My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 45. Six years on and we have done some wonderful things and had quality time. He is presently in the final stages, but considering he was predicted to have only six months, six years is pretty outstanding!!! The only reason his story is not even more outstanding is that his disease was not picked up early, so he was fighting an uphill battle from the start. So good luck to your friend. The moral of the story is to live every day to its fullest potential.
Dr K… thanks for the new workout. I’m nowhere near up to speed enough to tackle it yet, but I am getting better each day, so will soon be there. Having a fantastic time discovering a body beneath the flab! lol
Jan – First off let me say that the story is amazing and encouraging. It’s definitely a count the blessings type of thing. I wish you all the best in a very difficult situation. Thanks for the encouragement.
Also, my thoughts will continue to be with all that are undergoing such a tragedy as the fires. To think some were started – that’s horrible. I wish you all relief soon.
Keep up the great work! I know Month 2 had me plumb tuckered out! The best to everyone! Just think of how we’ll be after the end of Month 2. Whoo Hooo.
Okay, we hit BJs Month 2 video and were anyone else’s hands sore. Lots of focus on using the arms for sure. I’ve got a question for the group – what goal or treat will you reward yourself with as each month or goal is reached?
I’ve been looking long range – an island vacation for the wife and me – something we’ve never done, but that won’t be until 2010 most likely. So I’m looking to find some other short range goals to help keep us going. Beach day will be here before I know it – so that is an incentive – anything else? I’d love to hear from you.
R.I.P.
Well, I just received the official word that Personal Video Bootcamp is dead. That’s really sad since we’ve been building community and I am working on some questions with regard the new program and the interaction.
That said, I think this group has worked really hard and I wish you all the best – I’m going to be completing Month 2 and once that is set – I will look at my options – we definitely have choices. So to all of you, you’ve done a great job and been an inspiration as you worked at digging deep and really outlining your stories, your lives and your goals. You’re fantastic!
Yes, I agree, it is all very sad…. but I really appreciate the choices we have been given. I think it might be a bit out of my league, but I will continue to slog it out, and you never know…
Thanks for your support. It has made a huge contribution to my motivation.
All the best, and good luck.
